Oh my god ! i COMPLETELY forgot about our weekly blogs. So in english 10 were doing this incredibly hard project on these trials and i decided to do the trial of Patty Hearst. I chose this one because when i read the description it said a woman kidnapped and turned into a robber and i was like oh my god that sounds like its gonna be interesting because i imagined car chases things blowing up people getting shot...... in california. As i was reading info it turns out that it happened in california too! But even though this project is unnecessarily difficult i actually like it. I learned about the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). Theyre the people that kidnapped her. One thing they did was actually a good thing and that was to make her dad raise a fund for the needy people of california and he ended up funding 2 million dollars. Oh yeah and this happened in the 70's and the trial was the year my mom was born (random fact that was an attempt to take up more space). The messed up part of this is they killed her fiance... then Patty ended up falling in love with the leader Donald DeFreeze "Clinque"
